Happy Monday! Hope you had a great weekend. For this week’s challenge, we’re encouraging you to get out and draw things you see in daily life.
For this challenge, instead of pulling up a photo or snapping a pic to use as a reference, we’d like to push you to draw from sight.
Tips:
Pack your drawing gear! Like snapping a good photo, you never know when a good opportunity to draw may arise. So bring along drawing gear of your choice whether it is an iPad or pen and paper.
Find somewhere comfortable. In public, coffee shops and public spaces with tables and chairs are a good start. If not applicable, make sure you have something sturdy to draw on if standing up.
When drawing subjects, it’s best to not sweat the details and focus on shapes and lines. Subjects whether they are your friends or strangers tend to move unpredictably so be keen to not spend too much time getting something perfect.
Incorporate it into your routine this week. For this one, you don’t have to go out and make a trip out of it. Feel free to do this at your desk at work during your break, at home, or on a coffee/boba run.
So, have fun and enjoy your sketching! We’d love to see what you can make.
Here are some stuff I was able to draw this week:
