Today is my day on the creative challenge block, and Avia has challenged me to create a Hyperlapse. I’ve always wanted to work on the video aspect of my creative medium; however, it was always hard to get started because the amount of work in the front end always kept me away from creating videos. There were many trials and tribulations I went through for a 2-second video, but I thought it was a solid challenge nonetheless.
Challenge: Creating a Hyperlapse
Avia had requested to make a hyperlapse! No story, just creating.
Tips:
From what I learned from Hyperlapse videos, patience with your subject is key. I had to shoot upwards of four different projects before I found out that my camera settings were the key issue.
Utilize pedestrians and cars! You’ll watch my video and you’ll notice that there wasn’t much “action”; however if done at a busy street in San Francisco for example, it’ll help exaggerate the hyperlapse.
The more photos the. better! I started my hyperlapse and shot about close to 30 photos which yeilded a short video, but if you go longer I believe it’ll be a great video!
