Post That Project
Concluding our 3rd Creative Season
Today marks the end of our 3rd Creative Season at Simplex Minds; our first with Creative Club. This is our 26th challenge which marks an entire year of creative challenges. Each one unique and allows you to explore a different portion of your creative mind.
For this last challenge, I personally want to challenge you to post an out of character project. It can be a project you created through one of our challenges or it can be a project that has just been collecting dust on your desk / hard drive. I challenge you to post that piece and be proud of it.
We are often told to stick to a lane or to niche down and to stay within that niche. But, as humans we are ever evolving. Our interests change and our minds explore. We express ourselves in numerous ways. Why should we limit the amount of ways we can speak?
Simplex Minds started as a blog in September of 2020. I have had the idea of starting a brand since 2013. I am known as a videographer/photographer by profession, but my go to for fun creative program was Adobe Illustrator. I wanted to build an opportunity to allow myself to express that part of me.
It took me seven years to go after it and it all started with a singular post. I was hesitant, but it got the ball rolling. It was a step forward.
As we traverse this space and move forward with our journey, I want every single person who interacts with our brand to want to create for themselves. You are here right now on this journey with us. As an act of appreciation and love, I implore you to post one of your creative pieces today.
Be proud of what you created and share it. It doesn’t need to be the best work. It doesn’t need to be on “brand” with who you are trying to portray yourself as. As long as you are proud that you created it, share it. I’d love to see it.

Also if you do have a specific aesthetic that you are curating within your socials, it only takes a few moments to create a new account. A fresh account where nobody knows you and you can post whatever you like. Please don’t let self made restrictions stop you from exploring & posting your work.
Following today, the team and I will be taking a little hiatus from Creative Club to reset. We will be back and be adding a different twist to the challenges. That will mark the start of Season 4.
We appreciate every single one of you. We hope that you have enjoyed the challenges thus far. We have had a lot of fun exploring our creativity with you all. We will see you in about 6 weeks.
In the meantime, we are going to begin a weekend group in San Diego. The aim is to have a weekly meet up Saturday mornings to create for fun. Please follow our Instagram for more information.
